Since it's founding, TESco has placed much of its internal effort on the research and development of medical device molding, with special emphasis on bio-absorbable materials development and devices. As part of this corporate research effort, TESco continues to develop novel materials and molding capabilities. These efforts have resulted in the development of proprietary processing equipment and molding techniques that minimize polymer degradation. TESco has patents and patents pending, covering topics such as medical devices and composition of matter and processing for bio-absorbable devices. In addition, TESco has joint research and patent agreements that broaden its materials capability as well as produce key data necessary for its clients' FDA submissions.

As a contract manufacturer of biomedical products, TESco continues to focus on providing the skills and expertise to take a product from concept through initial prototype development and clinical trials into manufacturing. The company's capabilities include class 10,000 clean room manufacturing facilities and a high level of experience in manufacturing under FDA cGMP regulations and is QSR compliant. By working closely with key suppliers and the biomedical research community, TESco maintains agreements and professional contacts to insure a continued supply of critical materials and direct links to new materials, often before they are commercially available.
